“INJURY AND illness don’t always follow a nine-to-five schedule”, said Sal Bucksey of Primary Health Tasmania. Quite right, too.

Fortunately, Primary Health Tasmania has launched an advertising campaign to help people find the health services they need after hours.

The centrepiece of their strategy is their mobile friendly Tas After Hours website (www.tasafterhours.com).

Here, you can find a free app which allows people to save the details and call their GP, call the government funded Healthdirect helpline, find an open GP, pharmacy or emergency department nearby, or call an ambulance in case of an emergency.

The promotion period will run between mid-December to Easter, to assist holidaymakers in ensuring they have easy access to after-hours medical services during the festive season.
