Deloraine dancer in Don Quixote

Felicity Kerr the Dancing Vet

Deloraine dancer in Don Quixote

MAY 2016

EVER WONDERED what veterinarians do in their spare time?

Felicity Kerr, a senior veterinary physician from The Meander Valley Vet Service in Deloraine, is taking seven weeks annual leave and returning to her home state to rehearse with the Victorian State Ballet (VSB) company in their up coming season of Don Quixote.

Felicity started dancing when she was four and her love of ballet has continued through the years.

Since moving to Tasmania five years ago, she has continued her classes with the Kim Rowe School of Dance and has done some teaching, as well as local competitions and the very popular end-of-year pantomimes.

She is a bit of an oddity as far as the clinic’s client farmers are concerned – after seeing her covered in blood and muck from cow surgery in the animal’s yard it is hard to visualise her dressed in tutu and tiara!

Felicity, with the VSB company, is performing at the Princess Theatre in Launceston on Saturday 14th May at 7.00pm. Tickets available at the box office: call 6323 3666.
