THE DELORAINE & District Community Bank could well be heralded as a local hero of sorts by each of the five recipients who shared in almost $88,000 worth of grants at the annual Bendigo Bank Community Bank Grant Presentations Night last month.

Lyn Hayward, Chair of the Deloraine & District Community Bank, said the grants would benefit the entire Meander Valley community, and added, “Sharing bank resources enables community groups to share success.”

The fourth Deloraine & Districts Community Grants Program received a large number of applicants and “this year’s grants ranged from $4500 to $35863.”
