Hello and welcome to the Meander Valley Gazette! Please be patient while we build our new website.

Meander Valley Connect Inc is a not-for-profit social enterprise that runs online centres in Deloraine and Mole Creek. The decision to publish a newspaper was a natural extension of our commitment to provide local residents with access to information, education and community connection. Responding to a need for the re-commencement of a local paper in the region the organisation Meander Valley Connect Inc decided to publish Meander Valley Gazette in 2013.

Meander Valley Gazette is a local, independent, full colour tabloid-sized newspaper published monthly and available free of charge to its readers. The paper publishes news and articles from a wide variety of sources, provides an outlet for local businesses, and helps to promote the Meander Valley region to residents, tourists and all Tasmanians alike. We produce an inclusive community newspaper to share and represent the diversity of people, businesses and lifestyles in the Meander Valley.

9,000 copies per month are delivered to homes in the Meander Valley, and are also available through selected outlets in Bracknell, Carrick, Chudleigh, Deloraine, Elizabeth Town, Hadspen, Hagley, Meander, Mole Creek, Prospect Vale, and Westbury.

The paper is loosely divided into News, Rural News, Events, Features, People & Places (Social pages), Arts & Reviews, Council, Classifieds / Directory, Sports, with other categories of interest and supplements being added as and when the need arises.

Being a community newspaper requires your ongoing support to ensure that it remains engaging, informative and vital to the needs and interests of the region it serves. The staff at Meander Valley Gazette wishes to ‘Thank you’ in advance for your patronage.
